Mr. Walsh focuses his practice on litigating complex, commercial disputes, including: civil RICO actions; disputes over alleged violations of state and federal securities laws; breach of duty by directors, officers and majority stakeholders of public and private business organizations; as well as commercial real estate transactions, leasing and litigation of disputes; commercial financing transactions; insolvency, workout and bankruptcy matters; supply chain and customer contract disputes, including litigation of related intellectual property and executive employment matters; and a variety of other commercial disputes. Mr. Walsh frequently serves as “first-chair” trial counsel in state, federal and administrative fora and has extensive experience in a broad array of substantive legal matters, including:

• Representing manufacturers, distributors and suppliers with the planning, negotiation and implementation their vendor, supply chain and customer relationships, including related intellectual property and executive employment matters;

• Representing stakeholders, directors and officers in disputes concerning alleged violations of state and federal securities laws, alleged breaches of fiduciary duties, violation of corporate governance obligations and oppression of minority stakeholders;

• Representing borrowers, lenders, secured and unsecured creditors, bankruptcy trustees, debtors and debtors in possession in connection with insolvency planning, commercial loan workouts and related litigation matters, including representing area banks in connection with the wind-down, liquidation and sale of substantially all a defaulting borrower’s operating assets;

• Representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and 12 bankruptcy proceedings, including adversary proceedings and proceedings involving the purchase and sale of substantially all a Chapter 7, 11 or 12 Debtor’s assets or its equity interests;

• Representing healthcare provider organizations in disputes concerning medical practice management, academic and hospital affiliation, physician credentialing and medical billing irregularities;

• Civil RICO actions concerning, among other topics, fraud in connection with medical billing and fraudulent business schemes.

Finally, Mr. Walsh has spoken before area trade associations on current topics of interest.  Among others, Mr. Walsh has presented to the State Bar of Michigan, Real Property Section (annual meeting on Mackinaw Island) and to the Original Equipment Suppliers’ Association Mr. Walsh is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and has been elected as a “Best Lawyer” through the D-Business Publication.
