Anne Cubera Lipp

Attorney

Anne practices in general commercial transactional law, representing small and large businesses in corporate transactional matters, including asset sales, operating agreements, and business leases. She is experienced in a wide range of real estate transaction and dispute matters, including drafting residential commercial real estate purchase agreements, land contracts, mortgages and leases, prosecuting property tax appeals through the Michigan Tax Tribunal, and resolving title defects.

As a registered patent attorney, Anne’s practice also focuses on intellectual property. Anne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Notre Dame and is reliable resource for all matters involving the nexus of law and technology. She is successful in prosecuting trademark applications with the USPTO, and handles copyright registration and advising regarding software, literary works, visual arts and sound recordings. She also handles copyright dispute resolution, including infringement litigation defense.

Anne is skilled and knowledgeable with liquor licensing laws and statutes for business and nonprofit clients, including drafting and pursuing applications on behalf of clients at the federal and state levels, for breweries, wineries, and distilleries, as well as for nonprofit event licensing.

At Michigan State College of Law, Anne was involved in Michigan State Law as an associate editor and as Chair of Symposium Committee. She also spent time working at the law school’s Tax Clinic, where she resolved tax matters with the IRS, the State of Michigan, and local governments for low income taxpayers.

Her professional memberships include the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She is also active in the Notre Dame Club of Detroit and the Detroit Chapter of Notre Dame Women Connect, and volunteers for the Parenting Program through Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak.
